Introduction

Premiere Entertainment Philippines, Inc. (PEP) started as a sole proprietorship production house in 1946, founded by Dr. Ciriaco A. Santiago and his wife Adela Hermoso. PEP was subsequently incorporated and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on January 13, 1988 and was then known as Premiere Films International, Inc. In 1996, the company changed its name to Premiere Entertainment Productions, Inc. and to its present name on August 28, 2008 after a major share swap agreement between PEP and Digiwave Solutions, Inc. (Digiwave).

On May 5, 1997, PEP was listed in the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) and thus, became the first public company (PSE: PEP) engaged in the production of motion pictures. PEP envisioned a two-pronged thrust: a major presence in the local and international entertainment industry and an initial venture into gaming to round up its total entertainment offer.

Over the years, PEP has evolved from a film production house solely to a company engaged in various forms of entertainment. Today, as new and more challenging circumstances arise, PEP responds with greater enthusiasm in bringing the company to different heights. PEP dares to surpass expectations and go beyond limitations by no longer confining itself to what is simply known as “entertainment.” With the entry of new partners, a new management team, and a stronger workforce, PEP is set to venture into more businesses where there are good opportunities for fast growth, specifically the leisure and gaming market.
